  • Canoe rides, live music, rock wall climbing, face painting, nature hikes, educational materials and discussions regarding water conversation, quality and recreation.

Chalk Art Festival – Sept 15th and 16th (10 am – 6 pm)

  • Local/regional artists will transform patches of Midtown Crossing pavement into chalk masterpieces

Super Bee Orchards 6th Annual Apple Fest – Sept. 15th ( 1 – 5:30 pm)

  • Alpacas of the Heartland LLC, bounce house, apple games, and u-pick apples (pay for what you pick by weight)
  • Super Bee Orchard, 4571 US Hwy 75, Fort Calhoun

Centris Movie Night & Carnival at Werner Park – Sept. 21st ( 6 – 10 pm)

  • Carnival at 6 pm, “Back to the Future” will play at 7:30 pm, bring blankets to watch this classic movie, donations will be accepted for Children’s Hospital and Medical Center

National Alpaca Farm Day Open House – Sept. 29th and 30th (9 am – 5pm)

  • Feed an alpaca, see the baby crias

Fields of Flight Hot Air Balloon Festival at Ditmars Orchard – Sept. 7th – 9th ($10 per car)

  • Watch hot air balloons participate in competition flights and evening glows. Proceeds go to American Cancer Society/Relay for Life

Gifford Farm Fall Festival – September 15th – 16th (10 am – 4 pm)

  • $5 per person ages 2+
  • Hayrides, animal visits, scavenger hunts, pony rides, old-time vendors, raffles

50th Annual AppleJack Festival – September 21st – 23rd

  • Celebrate the kick-off of the apple harvest with cider donuts, candy apples, caramel apples, apple fritters, apple salad, and more! Featuring 6 craft fairs, a parade, a classic car show, live music, and a 3-day carnival
